DiastrophicDysplasia.
There are over 250 different types of diagnosed dwarfism, all affecting a persons height, often with short limbs and possible torso, along with other medical issues e.g. cleft palate, talipes and hearing loss. The type of dwarfism I have is diastrophic dysplasia which is as a result of disrupted cartilage and bone development. The image below outlines the main characteristics which arise as a result of diastrophic dysplasia.
However, these are all the physical signs of me as a person. There is much more to define my character, and others with dwarfism - in brief - I am a huge sports fan (F1, tennis and Women’s Football are the top three), I love to travel and explore new places, I enjoy watching and reading crime drama and I enjoy studying, having achieved a BSc and MSc in chemistry based subjects.
