Ice cream van sometimes in the grounds
We love to go to Pudsey Park in the spring, around April or May time to see the blossom, which is an absolutely beautiful sight.
We park on the roadside, which although is a busy road, there is no problem just pulling up and taking a space, although there is a kerbside to get on the path, we then walk the short distance into the park. Throughout the park the path is very stable, being tarmac, and quite level, there is no specific path to take as it is all intertwined, we just generally take a wander and sit under the trees on a bench every now and then. You can often get an ice cream, and maybe watch some lawn bowls, see the statue of Pudsey Bear (famous from Children In Need) although he is a little naked when we go as the flowers have not grown round him, there is also a little band stand which is nice to go have a look at, it does have a ramp to get into it. They have recently installed a few picnic tables which would be nice to sit at to eat, although we took a picnic for the car this time!
It is often quiet and gives Betty the chance to have full extension of the lead, trotting off in front, having a sniff around before coming back to check we’re still at the end of her lead.
We love to just wander round taking pictures, appreciate the lovely colours and look forward to the spring and summer ahead. If you’re in the area we would definitely recommend for some spring beauty.
Tip - take your camera to get some lovely blossom photos
